The original bust was sculpted in 1962 and 1963. Victor Lamkay, the sculpter, had hoped to get permission for sittings with Mrs. Roosevelt, but she died before he could do so. The FDR Library provided him with a number of photos of Mrs. Roosevelt allowing him to complete the bust, shortly after her death. This reproduction is hand-cast and hand-finished in crushed stone resin. Bronzetone, approximately 8" in height.
