This inspiring poster displays the famous picture taken on June 5, 1944 when General Eisenhower spoke with paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division just before they boarded their planes to participate in the first assault of the Normandy invasion.
The picture is outlined in gold and is on a black background. On either side of the photo are five gold stars representing the General of the Army rank Eisenhower attained in December of that year. Below the picture are the words in gold: D-Day-- The Normandy Invasion, with the date below, 6 June 1944. The complete text of General Eisenhower's message that was given to all servicemen on the eve of the battle is printed below the photo.
