Vintage Eisenhower Coin Bank

SKU E9436
This is a vintage Eisenhower Coin Bank that was manufactured in the early 1970's by Vacumet Finishing Inc. of St. Clair, Michigan. It is of metal construction with a resin base.

Vacumet was one of a number of companies that manufactured novelty banks in the 1960's and 70's. Many of these banks were sold to financial institutions to be used as incentives when parents brought their children in to open up a savings account. We have been able to acquire the limited remaining stock of these rare and unique coin banks to sell through the Eisenhower Presidential Gift Shop and the I Like Ike Store.

The bank is a large size replica of the Eisenhower Dollar Coin that was first struck in 1971 and features Ike's profile on the front. The reverse displays the image of an eagle landing on the moon inspired by the then recent Apollo XI mission patch.

The bank comes with the original packaging, key, and product inserts and measures 5" x 5-1/2" x 1-1/2".
